A medical jet crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood near Roosevelt Mall shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport at 6:07 p.m. The plane was heading to Springfield, Missouri, and emergency calls began at 6:12 p.m.

According to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, there were six people on board:
- Four crew members
- A pediatric patient
- The patient’s escort
Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, the company operating the flight, confirmed the patient had completed treatment in Philadelphia and was returning to Mexico. They have not confirmed any survivors yet.
The crash set multiple houses on fire, and several people on the ground were injured. Temple University Hospital reported treating six victims from the crash site at Cottman and Roosevelt Boulevard:

Three others in fair condition
Investigation Underway
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the deadly plane crash. The NTSB will lead the investigation.
