Israeli Foreign Minister Gedeon Sa’ar admitted that Israel had failed to fully dismantle Hamas’ military and government capabilities during its recent war in Gaza. Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem, Sa’ar acknowledged that while Israel had not achieved its goal of dismantling the militant group, it had succeeded in weakening Hamas, transforming it from a “terror army” to a “guerrilla group.” Despite this setback, Sa’ar emphasized Israel’s continued commitment to achieving the objective of dismantling Hamas. His comments came shortly after a ceasefire was implemented in Gaza, marking a temporary halt to the ongoing conflict.
